Catching Up
Sorry I've been out of touch for about a week. A lot has been going on.
1) The boy kittens' daddy has been found, but Wilbur and Orville (real names John and Grapey-Green) still come over to our house to play. :)
2) Went to a Padres game with
hotmarscube and they beat the Rockies 9-4. I nearly killed myself with Chicago ribs that were not supposed to be spicy, but were SO Spicy they paralized my vocal cords. They weren't supposed to (new chef) so I got a free sundae to cool off. A great time was had! Thanks, Bruce!
3) My baby brother joined the Army. He's... 40.
4) The bank which owns the house we have a bid on is playing dirty games with us. Anyone have this happen to them? We put in a low-ball bid (based more on the amount of work we'll have to do, therefore more realistic). The bank gets our info and sits on it. Without telling us, they reduce the price of the house to $6K below our bid. We think to attract other bidders (we were the only ones) then tell them they have a higher offer, hoping to get them to up bid us. Now they have another bid that our agent thinks came in after the price was lowered, but we don't know what it is. We're frustrated, angry, and thinking about looking into ethics mediation...
